Guests at a hotel restaurant table - the moment a stay is going well and worth asking about.

The uncomfortable truth about review volume is that the guests most motivated to write about you unprompted are the ones you disappointed. A guest who had exactly the stay they expected feels no urge to go and find your Google listing. So the public record skews, and it skews against you.

Asking helps, but only if you ask well. A survey that arrives three weeks late, in the wrong language, with fourteen questions, gets ignored - and one that pushes every respondent towards a public review regardless of how their stay went is review gating, which the platforms take a dim view of and which will eventually cost you more than it earns.

The version that works is short, timed while the stay is still fresh, in the guest's language, and honest about routing. A guest who reports a great stay is offered a pre-drafted public review they can post in one tap. A guest who reports a problem is routed into private recovery with someone who can actually fix it - which is what they wanted in the first place.

How it works

Surveys, step by step.

  1. 1

    Ask while it's fresh

Five-star or NPS, one question to start, sent by email, shared link or a QR code at the desk or in the room. AI follow-up questions dig into whatever the guest actually raised rather than marching through a fixed list.

  2. 2

    Route by what they said

A happy guest is offered a public review with a draft already written from their own words - the friction that normally loses you the review. An unhappy guest reaches a private contact capture and your team, not your listing.

  3. 3

    Track what it earned

Opens, completions and conversions to public reviews, so you can see whether the ask is working rather than assuming it is.

What you get

Included at every property count.

  • 5-star or NPS, with AI follow-up questions
  • Happy → public review draft; unhappy → contact capture
  • Share by link or QR; track opens & conversions

Questions

About surveys.

It is a fair question and worth being precise about. Review gating means suppressing negative feedback - blocking unhappy guests from reaching a public listing. Nobody is blocked here: every guest can post publicly whenever they like, and the private route is an offer of recovery rather than a diversion. What the survey changes is who is reminded and handed a draft, which is the part that fixes the skew.

While the stay is still fresh - the day of checkout or the morning after tends to outperform anything later by a wide margin. A survey that arrives a fortnight on reads as admin.

The same 30+ languages as replies. A guest who wrote to you in Italian gets an Italian survey and, if they are happy, an Italian review draft.
